If you’re in Thessaloniki this May and you’ve got a soft spot for comics, fantasy, and all things fandom, clear your calendar. The 9th edition of Thessaloniki Comic Con is happening from May 9 to 11, 2025 and it’s shaping up to be a must-visit event for pop culture lovers.

Big Names, Bigger Legacy

Over the years, The Comic Con has welcomed legends like Don Rosa (yes, the duck guy), Frank Miller (Sin City, 300), and Kevin Eastman (co-creator of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). It’s earned its reputation as the ultimate comic convention in Greece and this year is no exception.

Topping the 2025 guest list is Brian Azzarello, the mastermind behind 100 Bullets and Wonder Woman. His bold, edgy storytelling has shaped the tone of modern comics. Also appearing is Marina Sirtis, best known as Counselor Troi from Star Trek: The Next Generation. She’s sci-fi royalty and a fan favorite around the world. On the animation front, BATEM brings the charm with his beloved work on Marsupilami, a true classic in the European comic scene.

Where, When, and Why

Taking over the Ioannis Vellidis Convention Center and Pavilion 6 at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition & Conference Center, this year’s Comic Con will fill a massive 6,000 m² space with everything from comics and animation to gaming and collectibles. Whether you’re into tabletop battles or superhero sagas, there’s something for every kind of fan.
